Jennifer Buchholz works at Davy Laboratories as Lab Director. Previously the Supervisor of the Organic Chemistry Department, she has over 15 years of experience in the field of organic chemistry, including sample preparation, extraction, and analysis. Jennifer coordinates all analytical analysis through the use of various instrumentation, including gas chromatography and mass spectrophotometry (GC/MS) and gas chromatography (GC), utilizing various detectors such as FID, ECD, NPD, PID, and Hall ELCD.
Jennifer’s reputation precedes her, notably due to her attention to detail, extensive organic chemical analysis skills, knowledge, dedication, and experience. Jennifer has extensive experience in the use of computers and statistical methods. She is also highly proficient utilizing the laboratory information management system (LIMS) used by Davy Laboratories.
In addition to her directorial duties, Jennifer is the safety officer and trainer for Davy Laboratories. This position oversees and documents the training of staff members and new employees regarding safe laboratory practices and chemical safety.
Jennifer also serves as the laboratory librarian. She maintains and updates source records, MSDS sheets, client permits, and regulatory authoritative sources.
Jennifer earned her BS degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry in 1994. Jennifer lives in Bangor, Wisconsin with her husband Jim. Jennifer and Jim have three children.
Despite her busy career as an Organic Chemist, Jennifer makes time to be involved with community organizations and school functions.
