Hazardous Waste

Davy Laboratories can assist industries with hazardous waste characterization. Samples can be analyzed for all four characteristics for defining a hazardous waste: ignitability, corrosivity, reactivity, and leachability. The Toxicity Characteristics Leaching Procedure (TCLP) or the Synthetic Leaching Procedure (SLP) can be used to determine regulatory compliance for the RCRA metals, volatile organics, pesticides, herbicides, acid extractables, and base/neutral extractables.

Process Control

We can also assist with process control measures (such as analysis of metal bath samples).

Several clients, including a food processing facility and a hospital, have contacted Davy Laboratories to assist with water quality evaluations; in one situation, the water was used in the production process, while in the other the focus was on drinking water for employees and customers.

Food Analysis

Our microbiological division offers a number of testing services in food safety. Clients include meat processors, vegetable producers, and dairy producers. Some of our capabilities and services include:

We can also provide analysis of the water supply used in the production or cleaning of food products, as we do for a client producing organic products.
